Employee Type: Full Time Non Exempt
The Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant will perform a variety of patient care activities: vitals, weight, height, patient assessment, history, health complaints, injections, EKG recordings and suture removals to name a few. This person will assist provider with minor procedures, prepare exam rooms and ready instruments needed for patient appointments. Will be required to contact insurance companies, pharmacies, hospitals, and other physician offices. Must have detailed knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceuticals, and be able to communicate appropriate medical information to all clients. May be responsible for rotating to other CMA positions: Call, Dr., CNP, and Float. This person will also be able to perform a variety of other skills, such as phone operations, scheduling, filing, and use of office equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or the equivalent. Graduate of a medical assistant training program OR at least three years of work experience in patient care, preferably in a medical group setting; If not certified, must be eligible for CMA certification.

Hours: Typically 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, may vary as needed
