On Tuesday, February 7, the Van Wert Health Center for Urology, in partnership with Medtronic, will host a free educational webinar on overactive bladder symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. The webinar will be presented by Scott Shie, MD, Board Certified Urologist.
When a person experiences sudden and involuntary contractions of their bladder muscles and continually feels the need to urinate, this is a condition known as overactive bladder. Symptoms of overactive bladder include uncontrollable urges to go to the bathroom, frequent accidents, and getting up multiple times at night. Overactive bladder condition affects millions of men and women daily.
“Issues related to the bladder can be a sensitive subject. Many who suffer from overactive bladders opt to avoid the issue, negatively impacting their overall quality of life,” shared Dr. Shie. “What we are doing with this sort of event is normalizing the discussion, offering a space free of judgement for people to learn and ask questions.”
The free event begins at 6:30 PM, will last for one hour, including time for questions. Click here to register online for the free virtual event.
